Photos tell the truth faster than any promise can. Below are real project scenarios from Henderson homes, the kind of work our crews handle every week. You’ll see what we walked into, what changed, and how the space looked when we left. Shoe covers on, drop cloths down, photo of the clean-up on your phone before the truck pulls away. AC Replacement for a 1998 Goodman in Green Valley Ranch
Before
AfterThe homeowner called us because their 26-year-old Goodman was cycling every 20 minutes and the July power bill had jumped $140 in a single month. We found a compressor pulling 22 amps on a rated 16, a condenser coil so packed with cottonwood and dust it looked like felt, and refrigerant pressures that told us the scroll was on borrowed time. Luis walked the homeowner through the math: repair would buy maybe one more summer, replacement qualified for a utility rebate and cut projected cooling costs by roughly a third. We pulled the old pad, set a new Carrier condenser on a level composite base, replaced the disconnect and whip, and recharged per manufacturer spec. The new unit holds 74 degrees on a 108-degree afternoon and runs so quietly the neighbor asked if it was on.
Furnace Swap-Out in Anthem: Cracked Heat Exchanger Caught Before Winter
Before
AfterA family in Anthem called us in October after their carbon monoxide detector chirped during the first cold snap. Our tech found a hairline crack along the heat exchanger seam on a 2006 York furnace, the kind of failure you don’t gamble with. We shut the gas off at the unit, bagged the old furnace, and scheduled the replacement for the next morning. New Trane 80,000 BTU furnace installed in the same footprint, new flue connections, new filter cabinet, and a full combustion test before we called it done. The written price we gave them before the old unit came out is exactly what they paid.
Ductless Mini-Split Retrofit Above a Garage Conversion in Whitney Ranch
Before
AfterThe garage in this Whitney Ranch home was unusable from June through September, and the homeowner finally decided to turn it into a workshop and office. Running duct from the main system would have meant cutting through three load-bearing walls and losing closet space, so Luis recommended a Daikin mini-split. We mounted the air handler high on the wall, ran the line set through the exterior side yard with a slim cover, and set the condenser on isolation pads outside. The room now holds 72 degrees in August and the compressor is quiet enough that the home office calls never get interrupted. Drop cloths protected the epoxy floor the whole time, and the photo we sent at the end showed the space cleaner than we found it.
AC Condenser Rescue in Black Mountain: Cottonwood and a Burned Capacitor

The cottonwood blow in May is brutal on Henderson condensers, and this Black Mountain unit was choking on it. The system was running but blowing air at 78 degrees when the thermostat read 70, and the compressor hum was loud enough to wake a light sleeper. Our tech found the capacitor reading 4.8 microfarads on a rated 45, the coil matted on two sides, and the fan motor drawing high. We replaced the capacitor, pulled the coil clean with the right chemicals and a low-pressure rinse, checked the refrigerant charge, and had the system back to a 19-degree split within two hours. The homeowner’s dog supervised the whole visit from the window.
Full System Change-Out in Seven Hills: From Two Loud Units to One Quiet Carrier

This Seven Hills home had a patchwork setup: a 2004 Lennox furnace paired with a 2011 Rheem condenser, neither matched, both loud, and the upstairs never cooled below 80 in June. We did a load calculation on the whole house, sized a single Carrier two-stage system that covered both floors, and yanked the old equipment out in a day. New plenums, new line set, new thermostat with staging control, and a full airflow balance across all 14 registers. The upstairs bedroom that always ran hot now sits at 73, and the homeowner said the system is so much quieter she can hear the coyotes again at night.
